This comprehensive course provides network engineers with the knowledge and skills needed to implement VXLAN and EVPN technologies in data center environments. The course introduces key concepts of VXLAN Overlay, MP-BGP signaling, and control/data plane interactions. Learners will also learn about VXLAN Tenant Routed Multicast (TRM) and its different flavors and VXLAN-EVPN Multisite where we learn about design considerations, implementing and troubleshooting the multisite fabric.

In this section, We introduce the instructor as well the the course structure and lab access to the learners. This section also covers how one can build their own lab environment at home.

This section covers VXLAN fundamentals including overlay encapsulation, VTEPs, VNIs and various other terminologies. The course covers integrating VXLAN with L2/L3 networks and configuring VXLAN on Nexus switches.

This section introduces key concepts like MP-BGP signaling, multi-homing, and control/data plane interactions. Students will configure EVPN components on Nexus switches including vnis, route targets, multi-homing, and VPC VTEPs. Design topics include scaling VXLAN deployments, interoperating VXLAN with other technologies,

This section dives into two of the most commonly deployed VXLAN-EVPN design i.e. Multipod design. In this section, the learners will learn about how to implement the VXLAN Multipod design and troubleshoot packet forwarding in such deployment.

This section introduces the concept of Multicast forwarding over the VXLAN fabric using EVPN control plane, also known as Tenant Routed Multicast (TRM). This section elaborates various design options with TRM and how to configure and troubleshoot TRM deployments on Cisco Nexus switches.

This section dives into the concept of connecting multiple VXLAN-EVPN sites with VXLAN Data Center Interconnect (DCI) and EVPN control plane. In this section, the learners will learn about various design challenges that are overcome by VXLAN Multisite solution, various design options and considerations for VXLAN-EVPN multisite, implement and troubleshooting VXLAN-EVPN Multisite fabric.
